Grief can be messy and loud
It can feel overwhelming. It can disconnect us from our bodies, cloud our thinking, and change the way we understand ourselves and the world around us.
In her new book, Crying Out Loud, Dr. Laura Berman draws from both her clinical experience and the devastating loss of her son to explore what can happen when grief is met directly, honestly, and with support.
On October 15, join Laura and David Kessler for a free online conversation about what it means to move through grief without rushing it, silencing it, or trying to “get over” it.
In this conversation, they’ll explore
- Why grief needs to be felt, not avoided
- How overwhelming emotions can affect the body and mind
- Ways to reconnect with yourself when grief leaves you feeling untethered
- How grief can deepen connection, creativity, and meaning
- What it can look like to stay connected to someone who has died
- The difference between moving through grief and trying to move on from it
