There's a Reason You're Here
When a child dies, everything changes. No matter if you knew them before birth, minutes, days, months, years or decades.
They were not supposed to go before you. The death of a child is out of order and leaves parents shattered.
A child’s absence is loud. When a child dies, your world becomes unimaginable to others. Yet, this is your horrific reality.
It's so important to tend to your grief and give it the time and space that it needs. But so often family members and friends just don't get it. They tell us to get over it or to move on.
Whether your child was the ideal child, or if you had an imperfect relationship, the grief feels all-consuming and never-ending.
David Kessler is leading a 5-week series on Grieving Fully and Living Fully for anyone who is grieving the death of a child.
You'll learn to attend to your grief and navigate the rocky terrain of this devastating loss, to create a path forward and remember with more love than pain.
We'll cover the so often overlooked topics including, regrets, guilt, secrets, and the what-ifs and if-only’s that so often keep us up at night.

About David
David Kessler is a bereaved parent himself, besides being one of the world’s foremost experts on grief and loss. His experience with thousands of people on the edge of life and death has taught him the secrets to living a happy and fulfilled life, even after life’s tragedies. He is the author of six books, including the new bestselling book, Finding Meaning: The Sixth Stage of Grief. He co-authored two books with Elisabeth Kubler Ross, Life Lessons and On Grief and Grieving. He also co-wrote, You Can Heal Your Heart with Louise Hay. His first book, The Needs of The Dying received praise from Saint (Mother) Teresa.
David’s personal experience as a child witnessing a mass shooting while his mother was dying in a hospital helped him begin his journey. In the years that followed, his father was his everything until he died when David was in his thirties. For most of David's life, he has taught physicians, nurses, counselors, police, and first responders about the end of life, trauma, and grief. However, despite his vast knowledge of grief, his life was turned upside down by the sudden death of his twenty-one-year-old son. It inspired him to write his newest and most personal book, Finding Meaning.
